We’re 36 days away from Election Day, a day which means nothing without our votes. Voting is foundational to existence in our democracy, every bit as foundational as procreation and self-sustenance. Eating, procreating and voting nourish our ability to self-govern. Let’s make sure Election Day means something and vote.
Citizens of Democracy
We, the citizens of democracy know it’s crunch-time to vote in 2020, at least as citizens of democracy, we should know it’s crunch-time. Citizens of democracy need to commit to registering to vote; let’s make that happen if you haven’t, it’s a must-have badge-of-honor for every citizen of democracy. Select your state in the drop-down menu to find out more about voter registration. As citizens, our job is to vote; I’ll say it, “We the citizens of democracy have jobs, our jobs are to vote!” Jobs require commitment, responsibility and hard work. Let’s do our jobs and vote.
Even though 2020 seems like decades wrapped up into one year, it’s still just one year, one voting year. We have generations of voting ahead of us, generations of working responsibly and generations of tending to our democracy. If democracy is to continue to thrive, voting must become a prime commitment for the citizens of democracy. Every vote is a commitment to us, to future generations, to our freedoms and to our rights to self-govern.
